Tonight: “Toy Story 3” and the Tiki Ti with Mr. Jonathan Harris!
When you go to the Tiki Ti, remember one rule. Always drink water with potent drinks. We learned this from Jim an old timer. If you don’t drink water (or at least come hydrated), you will get loaded and get very, very sick. Don’t let this happen to you.

We recently went to our beloved Tiki Ti with our friends Veronica Yanco, Mike Rhoads and Julie Epstein. After trying out several drinks (reviews for each coming), including the Pain Killer, Space Pilot, Uga Buga and the Bahanian, we couldn’t decide what to review… nor could we remember what any of them actually tasted like. But we would be amiss not to post this adorable photo from the night. Stay tuned. Someone is bound to remember something… as soon as this hangover wears off.
It’s time to catch up on some ridiculously late blog posts. We’ve drank a lot since the reopening of Tiki Ti. Sadly, we’ve been bad about documenting our nights out. Rum is a powerful drink. It can make you forget your pain, your troubles and your camera/notebook/pen. Now, let’s jump in…
Stephanie is the prettiest girl in the world (and can drink you under the table). She’s a neighborhood local and a Tiki Ti for 2 superfan. Her mother was in town celebrating her birthday. We wanted to make her night special We could take her anywhere. The Hollywood Sign. The Walk of Fame. The Playboy Mansion. Instead we took her to Tiki Ti.

She didn’t want a big fuss, and refused to let us sing “Happy Birthday” to her. We wanted her to celebrate. So we suggested she get an Uga Booga. According to the Tiki Ti site, an Uga Booga is a “very strong rum drink made with Meyer’s Rum and fruit juices.” When they make the Uga Booga, the whole bar chants “Uga Booga” over and over again. The guys keep pouring until you stop shouting (or until they tire of our nonsense). It’s fantastic! Mike Sr. finished pouring our drinks, gave us a good hard look and said “You girls sure love your rum.” It’s true we do. Stick it in.
It was delicious. It was delightful. It was so strong I had to rest my head on the wall.
After all that rum, we needed the world’s greatest snack mix. Thank goodness Tiki Ti has it. Cheez Its for everyone!

Word to the wise. The Uga Booga is one of the most expensive and potent rum drinks in the bar. Don’t have it as your third cocktail or you’ll find yourself making out with the snack bowl like I did.
The Tiki Ti was closed for a week. Now the boys are back, we’ll be heading down again next week.
